ounces
sour cream

cup
brown sugar

1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
Instructions
Mix all ingredients together.
Chill and serve with sliced apples, pears, peaches, oranges, bananas, or any other fresh fruit you have on hand.
Recipe Tips
Use soft, fresh brown sugar. Hardened, crystallized sugar will stay grainy in a cold dip no matter how long it sits.
The 30-minute chill is not optional if you want the silkiest texture. The sugar needs the rest to dissolve completely.
For a pourable version to drizzle on a fruit parfait or French toast, thin the dip with a tablespoon of milk at a time until it ribbons off a spoon.
Brown sugar can be swapped 1:1 for dark brown sugar if you want an even more pronounced molasses flavor.
