Why This Recipe Works

Scalloped Corn Supreme succeeds because it elevates humble ingredients through thoughtful technique and complementary flavors. The gentle heating process allows the egg to create a custard-like binding without curdling, while the milk adds richness and helps achieve the perfect creamy consistency. The pimentos provide subtle sweetness and beautiful color contrast to this corn recipe. At the same time, the breadcrumb topping adds essential textural interest that transforms this from simple creamed corn into an elegant casserole.
